Lille – France

On March 19, RFI Planète Radio will participate in a one-day radio debate on the different development models  for radios in developing countries, in Lille.

On March 19, a one day conferences-radio debates will take place in the Espace Culture of the University of Lille on the topic of radio as a tool for development. This event, organised by the association RESIPROC (Réseau des Spécialistes en Ingénierie des Projets de Coopération) together with the FRANF (Fédération des Radios Associatives du Nord de la France) will gather many stakeholders in the field of radio cooperation.

These debates will take the form of three public radio programs hosted by journalists from the Federation (FRANF) and will be able to be broadcasted both at national and international level, as podcast. The following topics will be discussed:

  • Radio, a development facilitator, recognised but still underestimated?
  • Radio, a media for democracy, good governance and peace: between professional myth and field reality
  • Radio and NICT : digital divide, energy autonomy and ecodevelopment

RFI Planète Radio is pleased to be invited to participate in this debate and share its experience in the field of radio cooperation for the development. Eduardo Olivares, our educational advisor, will be representing RFI Planète Radio.
